SERUM LIPOSMOSE

The skin of the eye contour is the thinnest area, where the epidermis is 5 to 7
times thinner than the rest of the face. It features fewer surface lipids, a thin
layer of corneocytes and a limited barrier function, as a result of which it can
be sensitive to environmental stress, chronobiological and behavioral aging.
In the absence of hypodermis, the eye contour area is more sensitive, thus promoting
the appearance of under-eye puffiness. Often associated with fatigue or ageing, it is
characterised by sagging eyelids, a build-up of fluids, as a result of altered matrices
which are less successful at maintaining vessel walls, or the accumulation of
fat in tissue.
